Work required length in your stitch of choice

Use 100% cotton yarn of preference. If using finer cotton use two strands together. Have fun with different cotton textures.
Double moss stitch dishcloth
CO 32 sts on 5.5mm needle
Work 4 rows G st
Row 1. K4 *P1 K1* to last 4 sts K
Row 2, K4 *P1 K1* to last 4 sts K
Row 3. K4 *K1 P1* to last 4 sts K
Row 4. K4 *K1 P1* to last 4 sts K
Repeat these 4 rows until desired length
Work 4 rows G st cast off sew in ends
Basket Weave
CO 32 sts on 5.5mm needle
Work 4 rows G st
Row 1. K
Row 2. K3 P to last 3 sts K
Row 3. K 5 *P2 K2 to last 5 sts k
Row 4. As 3
Row 5 & 6 As 1 & 2
Row 7. K3 *P2 K2 to last 3 sts K
Row 8. As 7
Repeat those 8 rows of pattern until desired length
Work 4 rows G st cast off sew in ends
SCRUBBIES
Pattern is for a basic scrubby in garter stitch, any stitch of choice can be used.
Any choice of preferred cotton yarn will work, adjust size if needed by casting on more stitches and knitting longer length.
Scrubbies can be made in any shape or size use you imagination and go for it!
Round Scrubbie
Using 5.5 mm needles cast on 25 stitches
Work 3.5 inches (9cm) garter stitch (every row knit)
Break off yarn leaving a long thread, thread it through stitches on knitting needle. Pull together tightly sew down the side.
using running stitch sew round the bottom pull tight fasten off.
MOP COVER PATTERNS
Mop Cover
Using 5.5mm needle cast on 14 stitches
Work 4 inches (10cm) this is the width of the mop
With right side facing cast on 24 stitches knit across all 38 stitches. Work 4 inches(10cm) from extra cast on stitches.
With wrong side facing cast off 24 stitches.
Work 4 inches (10 cm) on the remaining 14 stitches.
Cast off.
Fold each flap over and stitch up the side and end to form pocket for mop to slip in.
Adjust length and width by adding or subtracting stitches and knitting less or more to achieve required size.
Any 100% cotton yarn can be used if using finer cotton use two strands knitted together.
